Contact and shared service centres in Wales can access targeted funding provided by the WDA / photography, call centre staff at Communications Direct

Companies in the contact and shared services industry in Wales can access targeted funding provided by the Welsh Assembly Government, and the WDA, and some sub-sectors may be eligible for support from WDA subsidiary Finance Wales.

Finance Wales

Finance Wales provides commercial finance to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) based in Wales. Get the backing to kick-start your business

The Welsh Assembly Government's Regional Selective Assistance and Assembly Innovation Grant are available to support capital expenditure:

  • Regional Selective Assistance is available (in assisted areas of Wales) to encourage investment in Wales, offering grants of more than £50,000 for businesses with eligible investment projects.
  • The Assembly Innovation Grant is a discretionary grant (ranging from £5001 to £50,000) aimed at smaller businesses making capital investment (for projects ranging between 1 to 3 years) in Wales.
  • The WDA can assist with the application process for these grants. 

    A range of WDA grand funding is also available, for research and development, including: the Regional Innovation Grant, SPUR, SPUR plus, SMART and the technology exploitation programme. Individual account managers can also provide businesses with business support grants, as well as being able to help unlock the comprehensive range of grant funding and business support available from the WDA, making the right connections where necessary.
